The "field of legends"

Corund is one of the oldest settlements of the Szekler Sóvidék. The village name originates from the Hun language. "The place was populated by fairy", between the mythological Firtos and Tartod mountains.
In this compelling environment the torrents, various mineral water sources, forests, scattered villages, farms offers several tourism programs for the visitors.

The "cradle of the popular pottering"

This village is well-known from the potters' ware taken far away, fungus-processing home-made industry, and its adventurous inhabitants. Everybody from this village do this handicraft, near the street every house is a "living workshop " which bade in front of the gate the valuable ware.

The "country of the Szekler gemstone"

to the old descriptions mention admiringly about the depositions of the beautiful cold salted water source of Rakodóhegy. If plants or other objects get into this water, in short time a crusty coating arose on their surface. The seceded material is the famous aragonite from Corund, the " Szekler gemstone ". On Corund we find beautiful belted and brindled aragonite.
